Myth #1: The more sweat you break, the more calories you burn

Myth # 2: Crunches lead to flat abs

Myth # 3: Sweating means you’re in a bad shape
This statement is completely false as people who are in a good shape start sweating sooner than the people who are not. So as you get in the habit of working out, the more efficiently you sweat.
Myth # 4: Running on the treadmill is the same as running outside
Running on the treadmill doesn’t torch as many calories as running outside does. Running against the resistance of the wind and uneven path engages more of your energy and ends up burning 10 times more calories than running on the treadmill.
Myth # 5: Lifting heavy weights will make you bulky
Lifting heavy weights actually slim you down. People who lift heavy weights burn twice as much calories as the people who lift lighter weights.
Myth # 6: You should’ve breakfast before you hit the gym
A commonly known myth is that you shouldn’t work out before having breakfast. A study published in the British Journal of Nutrition show that people burn more calories if they work out on an empty stomach.
