Fun things to do with your kids in Bangalore

Bangalore has often been touted as a cosmopolitan city that vibrates with a youthful vibe. It is supposedly one of
the best cities in the country for the 20 somethings as it offers unlimited scope for shopping and mall crawling and bar hopping. Not to forget the start-up culture. When you look at the city through a collegiate or a young entrepreneur’s eyes, you can be forgiven for wondering if it is a place fit enough to bring up young kids and whether or not it offers enough opportunities for toddlers. Well, if that is the question hounding your mind then we have the answers for you right here. Below is a list of toddler activities in Bangalore that your kids are sure to love:
1.Honey Bee’s Nature Club
One of the constant worries about living in a city is that your children can, and often do, forget all about Mother Nature and the call of the wild. The Honey Bee Nature Club is the panacea for this evil. The Club believes in the philosophy of letting children ‘Just Be’. So, if all your little monster wants to do is climb trees and splash around in puddles, they will find a welcome home at this nature/outdoor recreation club. And what’s more, this is a place for families so if you have wanted to make some mud forts yourself all you need to do is give them a call!

2. Martin’s Farm
Martin’s Farm is – as their site says – “Bangalore’s best kept secret”. This lush two acre farm has cows, dogs, pigs, horses, and even emus. Your child is sure to love playing and feeding these animals and learning about them. You do need to know that the farm is not a resort so do not expect catering and restaurant-style food. That said, you are more than welcome to get your own food and make a family picnic out of the whole outing.

3.Hippocampus Experience Centre
The Hippocampus Experience Centre is one of  kind. This is a library cum skill development centre with a philosophy that is focussed on bringing out the best in your child. This place boasts of a huge collection of over 10,000 children’s books including magazines and multimedia content. They also have weekly activities that can range from craft making to baking classes, summer workshops, and themed clubs for adventure, cooking, water sports etc. And with Hoo the hippo looking over your child’s day at this experience centre, you can rest assured things will always turn out great.

Well, this is not all that Bangalore has to offer for the kids. When no inspiration strikes, you can always take your child to look at the summer flowers in the various parks and watch them be themselves. After all, there’s nothing that
inspires kids like a day out with loving parents.
