different ways, which would save me a pretty penny down the long run. Here is what I think about saving money on Christmas. I hope you enjoy reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it.
A cheapskate ? No, I am just old-schoolNot many people practice making their own holiday gifts, because frankly no one really wants any “homemade” crap; it is cheap, useless and it has no actual value. The upside to making gifts yourself is that you won’t have to spend a lot of money (aside from the initial materials of course). The key is in the presentation. Wrap your gift nicely, so people think there is something worth something inside. When you see their disappointed faces once they open it; just say something like “I spent a whole week working on this. Do you like it?”
Also, you get to choose from hundreds of retailers; meaning that you will always get the best bargains a head of everyone else. The only issues with online shopping is that most retailers don’t have Christmas discounts and their tariff goes virtually unchanged for a whole year.
