Samsung has made its way back to the top with the new and exciting things the company introduces. After the launch of the Galaxy Watch; a whole smartphone built into a watch, the Korean Company has announces the launch of the first of its kind, the Round Screen.
This is the World’s first company with such an innovation, and Samsung will be calling the Smartphone as the ‘Samsung Galaxy Round’. It was announced last Wednesday and it will be showing the display on curved glass. However there is one hitch in buying a round screen smartphone, which is the flexible screen is only going to be available in Korea. So that certainly raises the question that how will the Phone Giant manage to sell this phone internationally or is it just a local experiment for the evolving technology?Specification:
The flexible screen technology has been seen as a prototype for quite some years and the concept of it seemed quite intimidating. But the phone isn’t just a screen, it holds the 5.7 inches touchscreen which is similar to the Galaxy Note 3, but the phone is about 7.9 mm thick and weighs just over 154 grams.
The internal specs include a 2800 mAh battery that runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor Quad core, 2.3GHZ, Krait 400 CPU, however the exact specs of the CPU are still yet to be experienced. The 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB memory will get you anywhere you want in a zippy, and the user interface will make sure that your experience is a nice one as it supports the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Samsung’s TouchWiz technology.
The phone’s price that has been tagged is still a staggering $1,013. But coming back to the round display, people will be wondering what exactly are they paying for? So Samsung has included some useful and tricky apps for the everyday user. Aside from tilting the display and seeing your notifications or just rolling up the phone to consume less space in your bag, the Software includes the Gravity Effect which will control the UI by tilting the device. And the further applications that can be quiet handy will be launched soon enough by developers.
However the design factor is very challenging and the company hopes that this will change the game for the high end phones and will bring the Korean Giant, Samsung into another League. And according to the company’s view, this is something very important as growth has been slowed in the smartphone market and the low end producers are challenging everything that they get their hands on.
